Unsolicited concepts

Homepage concepts for real Richmond restaurants.

These restaurants are not clients and have not endorsed this work. I made each concept on my own to show what their homepage could look like. Menus, hours and links come from their public websites; food photos are placeholders.

Unsolicited concept · Not a client Homepage concept for India K'Raja shown on a laptop and a phone

India K'Raja

Indian restaurant · Henrico, Virginia

The concept puts the full menu in real text, adds a catering request form, and keeps online ordering one tap away.

Unsolicited concept · Not a client Homepage concept for SCOOP ice cream shown on a laptop and a phone

SCOOP

Small-batch ice cream · The Fan, Richmond

The concept adds an online ice cream cake order form, a weekly flavor board, and current hours on every page.

Unsolicited concept · Not a client Homepage concept for The Roosevelt shown on a laptop and a phone

The Roosevelt

Neighborhood restaurant · Church Hill, Richmond

The concept adds a menu section, keeps Resy reservations one tap away, and puts the chef's James Beard recognition up front.

What every site includes

Built for the phone in a hungry guest's hand.

Most people check your site on a phone, standing outside or deciding where to eat tonight. Every site I build is designed for that moment.

About

Hi, I'm Ethan.

I'm a web designer and marketer based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I build websites and write SEO content, and I focus on independent restaurants and cafés because a clear, fast website makes a real difference to a small dining room.

I work by email and video call, and I reply within your business day. You can also find me on Facebook.

FAQ

Questions owners ask.

Do I have to change my ordering or reservation system?

No. I link the site to the tools you already use, like Toast, Square, ChowNow, Grubhub, OpenTable, Resy or Tock.

Is the mockup really free?

Yes. I make one homepage design for your restaurant at no cost and with no obligation. If you don't want to go further, just say no.

Who owns the website?

You do. Your domain, your menu, your photos and your text stay yours, whether or not you keep the care plan.

What does the $29 a month cover?

Hosting, SSL, security updates and backups, plus as many menu, price and hours changes as you need. Email me the change and it goes live, usually the same day.

How long does it take?

The mockup takes about 2 days. The full site takes about 2 weeks after you send your menu, photos and logo.

You're in Vietnam. How does that work?

Everything happens by email and video call. Your business hours are my evening, so I can reply while you're open.
